Solar PV trackers in Derbyshire

Aspire Solar have just installed the first pair of Lorentz ETATRACK active 1000-30 single axis solar PV trackers in the country. Each tracker carries 8 REC 245Wp panels giving a total system output of 3.92kWp.

Aspire Solar at the Eco Centre in Derbyshire

Aspire Solar were at the opening of the new £1.4m Derbyshire Eco Centre in Wirksworth yesterday. The Eco Centre in Middleton-by-Wirksworth near Matlock will offer courses on skills such as dry stone walling, roofing and stone masonry. It also aims to help people live sustainably by giving ideas on recycling and reducing energy use.

The Derbyshire Eco Centre is the first of its kind - the only centre built by an adult community education service to promote sustainability skills anywhere in the country. Aspire Solar will be at the opening on Saturday 18th of September with a variety of solar energy products on display so you can get up close and see how it all works.


Record number of panels fitted in August

A record number of homeowners had solar PV systems installed last month, according to energy regulator Ofgem. PV systems have been fitted to 2,257 homes during August, up from 1,700 in July and 1,400 in June.
